Junior Web Designer

- Maintaining the visual layout and technical stability of our public facing website and internal document repositories.
- Translating detailed, text based reports and memoranda into legible and accessible web formats that prioritize reading comprehension.
- Assisting with the technical implementation of typography and spacing for long form digital content.
- Conducting routine site audits to ensure all digital assets remain secure and performant across a range of devices.
- Collaborating with the advisory team to optimize how our clients interact with digital versions of our written analysis.
- Proposing structural improvements to site navigation that help users find historical records without unnecessary friction.
- Ensuring all digital modifications adhere to our firm's visual identity, which values restraint and clarity above all.
- A foundational understanding of HTML and CSS with an interest in clean, functional code.
- A strong aesthetic sense regarding typography, line height, and white space in the context of reading.
- The ability to work within a defined set of brand constraints that prioritize function over decorative trends.
- A disciplined approach to testing work across different browsers to ensure a consistent experience for our clients.
- Clear communication skills, particularly the ability to explain technical limitations in plain language.
- High attention to detail when formatting text and ensuring that no errors exist in the digital presentation of our work.
- A deep respect for client privacy and the security protocols necessary to handle sensitive advisory data.
- Formal or self directed studies in graphic design, fine arts, or a related field with an emphasis on print principles.
- Familiarity with web accessibility standards to ensure our written counsel is available to all readers.
- Experience using simple content management systems or static site generators.
- This is a fully remote position that offers a high degree of autonomy in how you manage your daily tasks.
