Make an impact

• As Head of Procurement you will be part of the Procurement Leadership Team and lead approx. 20 FTE in Project Procurement, Operational Procurement and Indirects
• Development and implementation of regional procurement strategies in alignment with the global procurement strategy

• Management of the entire third-party procurement volume for projects in the EMEA region
• Close collaboration with Legal, Sales, Project Management, and regional leadership as a business partner
• Early involvement in the sales phase to define make-or-buy and sourcing strategies
• Market and trend analyses to ensure supply, competitiveness, and price stability
• Leading supplier negotiations with a focus on cost, quality, and risk mitigation
• Ensuring supply continuity and active risk management in project procurement
• Contributing to project profitability through optimized cost-performance ratios
• Delivery of savings targets and EBIT contributions for the EMEA region
• Building, managing, and continuously developing strategic supplier relationships
• Implementation of supplier segmentation and performance review processes
• Ensuring compliance with procurement policies, processes, and regulatory requirements
• Close coordination with Global Procurement and Category Management
• Harmonization and continuous improvement of processes and tools
• Creation and analysis of relevant procurement KPIs for the region, including reporting

What you need to succeed

• More than 10 years of experience in operational and strategic procurement, ideally in an international project environment

• Solid experience in project sourcing, preferably in intralogistics or automation environments

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to assert yourself while engaging stakeholders on equal footing

• Strong commercial and financial acumen

• Ability to assess complex markets, risks, and interdependencies holistically

• High level of communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels

• Confident presence and strong stakeholder management capabilities

• Structured, analytical, and results-oriented working style

• Experience in supplier management and performance evaluation processes

• Excellent knowledge of contract management, compliance, and sustainability topics

• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP R/3 MM) and MS Office

• Experience in international, matrix-organized companies

• High resilience and strong decision-making skills in a dynamic project environment

• Business-fluent German and English, both written and spoken

• Initiative, sense of responsibility, and a continuous improvement mindset
